Copying and pasting formulas.

1.  Open Excel.  In Excel 2013 hit the Escape or Enter one time to open a blank spread sheet.
2.  Goto to cell c1.
3.  Type =a1+b1.
4.  Tab one time.
5.  Left arrow one time and you will be in the cell with the formula.
6.  Press and hold the control key and tap the letter c.
7.  Release both keys.
8.  Press and hold down the shift key and tap the down arrow key four times.
9.  Release both keys.
10.  Press and hold down the control key and tap the letter v to paste the formula in all of the highlighted cells.
11.  Release both keys.
12.  Press control g which is the “goto” command.
13.  Release both keys.
14.  Type a1.
15.  Tap enter one time.
16.  Type 2.
17.  Tap the tab key one time.
18.  Type 2.
19.  Tap the tab key one time and you will hear the answer “4.”
20.  Press control g.
21.  Release both keys.
22.  Type a2.
23.  Tap enter.
24.  Type 5.
25.  Tab one time.
26.  Type 5.
27.  Tab one time and you will hear the answer “10.”  Because you and already copied a formula into the cell, you do not need to write one.
28.  Press control n to make a new Excel workbook.
29.  Press control g
30.  Release both keys
31.  Type a3
32.  Tap enter.
33.  Type =a1+a2
34.  Tap enter.
35.  Up arrow one time.
36.  Press control c.
37.  Release both keys.
38.  Press and hold down the shift key and tap the right arrow key three times.
39.  Release both keys.
40.  Press and hold down the control key and tap the letter v and the formula will be posted in all highlighted cells.
41.  Press control home to go to cell a1.
42.  Type the number 4.
43.  Tap enter one time.
44.  Type 4.
45.  Tap enter one time and you will hear the answer 8.
46.  Go to cell b1.
47.  Type the number 5.
48.  Tap enter one time.
49.  Type the number 6.
50.  Tap enter one time and you will hear the answer 11.
51.  Press alt f4 to close Excel—there will be a box asking if you want to save the file; tap the letter n to indicate “no”.  Another box may come up asking the same thing because you had two Excel files open.  Tap the letter n again to indicate “no.”  Excel will close.
 
Assignment:  Start Excel.  Type you name in cell a1.  Press control semi-colon in cell b1 to insert the date.  Press control shift semi-colon in cell c1 to insert the time.  Go to cell a1.  Press alt o to go to “format.”  Release these keys and tap the letter c, release, and tap the letter a.  Your column will automatically adjust its' width to your name.  Go to cell a7.  Type =a5+a6 then tab one time.  Left arrow one time to be back in cell a7.  Press control c to copy the formula.  Release these keys. Press and hold the shift key and tap right arrow two times.  Release these keys.  Press and hold the control key and tap the letter v to paste the formula in all highlighted cells.  Go to cell a5 and type the number 7.  Tap enter and type the number 9. Tap enter one time, then up arrow one time and you will hear the answer 16.  Go to cell b5 and type the number 15. Tap enter.  Type 17.  Tap enter and you will hear the answer 32.  Go to cell c5 and make up your own number, tap enter, make up another number, tap enter and you will hear your answer.  Save the file as Excel Assignment 9.  Print two copies.  Keep one for yourself and give one to the teacher.
