Excel Simple Inventory List and the Find Command

  1. Open Excel.
  2. Press control g.
  3. Type f1.
  4. Tap enter one time.
  5. Type your name.
  6. Tap enter.
  7. Press control semi-colon to put in the date.
  8. Tap enter one time.
  9. Press control shift semi-colon to put in the time.
  10. Tap enter.
  11. Press control g.
  12. Type a5.
  13. Tap enter one time.
  14. Type Snickers.
  15. Tap enter.
  16. Type PayDay.
  17. Tap enter.
  18. Type Reese's.
  19. Tap enter.
  20. Type Mounds.
  21. Tap enter.
  22. Type Almond Joy.
  23. Tap enter.
  24. Type M&Ms.
  25. Tap enter.
  26. Type Skittles.
  27. Tap enter.
  28. Type Zero.
  29. Tap enter.
  30. Press control home.
  31. Press control f.
  32. Type Zero.
  33. Tap enter.
  34. Tap escape.
  35. Press insert and tap the up arrow to hear the word “Zero."
  36. Press control f.
  37. Type Mounds.
  38. Tap enter.
  39. Tap escape.
  40. Press insert and tap the up arrow to hear the word “Mounds.”
  41. Press control f.
  42. Type M&Ms.
  43. Tap enter.
  44. Tap escape.
  45. Press insert and tap the up arrow to hear the word “M&Ms.”
  46. Save this file as Excel Handout Lesson Three.
  47. Print two copies of this file.  Give one to your teacher, and keep one for yourself.
  48. Close the file.

 

Assignment:  Open Excel.  Type your name in cell e1, the date in cell e2, and the time in cell e3.  In cell a5 type Pepsi; in cell a6 type Pepsi-One; in cell a7 type Coke; and cell a8 type 7-Up; in cell a9 type Rootbeer; in cell a10 type Mountain Dew; in cell a11 type Sprite.  Find “Coke” and re-type it in all capital letters as COKE.  Find the word “Pepsi” and re-type it in all capital letters as PEPSI.  Save the file as Small Step Assignment Three.  Print two copies of the file.  Give one to the teacher, and keep one for yourself.
