Highlighting and changing multiple cells to currency or percents.

    1. Start Excel.
    2. Press control home to be sure you are in cell a1.
    3. Type Pepsi
    4. Tap enter.
    5. Type Coke.
    6. Tap enter.
    7. Type 7-Up
    8. Tap enter.
    9. Press control g.
    10. Type b1.
    11. Tap enter.
    12. Type 1.75.
    13. Tap enter.
    14. Type 1.43.
    15. Tap enter.
    16. Type 2.19.
    17. Tap enter.
    18. Press control g.
    19. Type b1.
    20. Press and hold down the shift key, and tap the down arrow key two times.
    21. Release these keys.
    22. Press and hold down the control and shift keys and tap the number 4.
    23. Release all keys and tap the down arrow key one time.
    24. Press control g.
    25. Type b1.
    26. Tap enter.
    27. Listen and your first number will be in the form of currency.
    28. Tap down arrow one time and you will hear your second number in the form of currency.
    29. Tap the down arrow key one time and you will hear your third number in the form of currency.
    30. Press control g.
    31. Type c1.
    32. Tap enter.
    33.  Type the number 4.
    34. Tap enter.
    35. Type the number 5.
    36. Tap enter.
    37. Type the number 6.
    38. Tap enter.
    39. Press control g.
    40. Type c1.
    41. Tap enter.
    42. You will hear the number 4.
    43. Press and hold down the shift key and tap the down arrow key two times.
    44. Release all keys.
    45. Press and hold down the control and shift keys and tap the number 5 key.
    46. Release all keys.
    47. Tap the down arrow key one time.
    48. Tap the up arrow key one time.
    49. You should hear something like four hundred percent.
    50. Down arrow one time and you should hear the next number as a percent.
    51. Down arrow one more time and you should hear the third number as a percent.
    52. Press control g.
    53. Type e1.
    54. Tap enter.
    55. Type your name.
    56. Tap enter.
    57. Press control semi-colon to insert the date.
    58. Tap enter.
    59. Press control shift semi-colon to insert the time.
    60. Press control home to go to cell a1.
    61. Press control s.
    62. Type Excel lesson four.
    63. Tap enter.
    64. Print 2 copies of this spreadsheet.  Give one to the teacher and keep one for yourself.

 

Assignment:  Open Excel.  Type your name in cell a1.  Put the date in cell a2.  Put the time in cell a3..  In cell a5 type Mounds.  In cell a6 type Snickers.  In cell a7 type Zero.  In cell b5 type $1.15.  In cell b6 type $1.09.  In cell b7 type $.95.  In cell c5 type 40%.  In cell c6 type 50%.  In cell c7 type 95%.  Save this file as Excel Assignment Four.  Print two copies.  Give on to the teacher, and keep one for yourself.
