Standard Commands

Start and Stop Scanning: F9

Start and Stop Reading: F5

Voice Rate Slower: F11

Voice Rate Faster: F12

Save File: Control s, type name of file, tap enter.

Open File: Press control and the letter o, arrow to the file you want, then tap enter.

Spell Check: Press control k.

Time and Date: Press control and the letter t.

Read Currency: Press shift F9 (the bill must be laid at the top edge of the scanner.

Using the numeric keypad to read.

Volume Up: key 7

Volume Down: key 4

Voice Rate Faster: key 8

Voice Rate Slower: key 5

Columns On and Off: key 6

Rewind: key 1

Fast Forward: key 2

Go To Page: key 3

Start and Stop Reading: key 0

Spell: . (just to the right of the 0 key).

Help and Status: key Enter

Start and Stop Scanning: key + (plus)

Cancil: key num lock (top left)

Erase Text: key / (front slash, jsut to the right of the num lock key)

Dictionary: key * (star or times, just to the right of the front slash key)

Accept: key - (minus, at the top right)

To move to the settings keypad, hold shift (the 0 key at the bottom left on the numeric keypad) and tap the - (minus) key until you hear the word "Settings."

Change Reading Voice: Tap the 7 key on the numeric keypad repeatedly until you hear the reading voice you want.

System Voice (for areas such as menus): Tap the 8 key on the numeric keypad until you hear the voice you want.

To move back to the Reading keypad, press and hold the shift key (bottom left), and tap the - (minus key at the top right on the numeric keypad) until you hear "Reading."
